She lashed out after the convention: Merve Kır, who withdrew her candidacy, reacts sharply to CHP Headquarters

The CHP Women's Branches Convention was held at the ATO Congresium in Ankara with the theme of "Equality and Justice." During the convention, Birsen Bayar, Birsen Temir Saraç, and Merve Kır withdrew their candidacies in favor of Aylin Nazlıaka. While Asu Kaya won the election with 487 votes, Aylin Nazlıaka received 189 votes.

REACTION FROM MERVE KIR TO AĞBABA, KARASU, AND YAVUZYILMAZ

Merve Kır, one of the candidates who withdrew in favor of Aylin Nazlıaka, targeted Veli Ağbaba, Ulaş Karasu, Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, and Gökçe Gökçen in a post on her social media account.

Merve Kır's post is as follows:

“The 15th Ordinary Women's Branches Convention concluded last night. Rather than Asu Kaya, who was elected chair as a result of the outcomes, I congratulate Veli AĞBABA and Ulaş KARASU, who put in more effort and labor than she did. I have no doubt that they will demonstrate the same effort and success at the 16th Women's Branches Convention.

One must also congratulate Ms. Gökçe Gökçen, who serves as the Minister of "Justice" in our party's shadow cabinet and presided over our convention. Although our regulations state that the incumbent women's branch chair should conduct the women's branches convention, I congratulate her for insisting that this is a tradition, for allowing the ballot boxes to be arranged province by province, and for allowing the profiling of women despite seeing the immense pressure on them.

I almost forgot, another huge congratulations should go to our Osmaniye deputy, Mr. Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, who was elected by the votes of the very precious people of Zonguldak, for his superior efforts.

I congratulate all the newly elected friends; I am sure they will walk the path to power with excitement.”
