Artificial intelligence, which has recently taken the technology sector by storm, also stood out in many products showcased at CES 2024, the world's largest Consumer Electronics Show.

Nearly 130,000 attendees had the opportunity to explore the future of technology at CES 2024, held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 9-12.
More than 4,000 companies introduced their technological innovations and products at the event, where the technology world converged this year.
At CES, where technological innovations were showcased in many fields ranging from daily life to health, security, sports, gaming, and mobility, the dominance of artificial intelligence-supported products drew attention this year.
Technology companies demonstrated how they use artificial intelligence in many products, from home appliances to devices for the disabled and elderly, and from security systems for weapon detection to autonomous vehicle systems.
The products exhibited at CES 2024 revealed that generative artificial intelligence, in particular, will be a major driving force for new products and services.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE HAS ENTERED THE KITCHEN
Products such as a grill that cooks meat to preference in about 2 minutes and a refrigerator that recognizes the food inside and suggests recipes were among the most interesting examples of how artificial intelligence is being used.
Chef and barista robots, along with AI-supported devices and other high-tech kitchen appliances, signaled that preparing food for humans will become easier in the future. One of these products, an AI-based refrigerator developed by Samsung, lists the ingredients inside thanks to built-in cameras and provides alerts when their shelf life is nearing its end. At the same time, the refrigerator in question recognizes the food inside and suggests recipes.
AN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOUCH TO GRILLING
A grill developed by UK-based Seergrills and introduced as the "world's first AI-powered grill" caught the attention of barbecue enthusiasts. The smart grill cooks meat in minutes depending on the type and the desired level of doneness. It is stated that the grill, which reduces cooking time by nearly 90 percent, cooks red meat in about 2 minutes and chicken in just over 2 minutes. By cooking the meat vertically, allowing it to receive heat from both sides, the grill also eliminates the need for flipping.
TRANSLATING BABY CRIES
A pillow that reduces snoring, a glove that stabilizes hand tremors for Parkinson's patients, and a baby cry translator are also among the products that drew attention in the field of health technology.
Cappella, which utilizes artificial intelligence technology to create innovative voice analysis software solutions, introduced a baby cry translator that will help accurately understand babies' needs. It is noted that the technology, which analyzes babies' cries via a phone application, provides accurate results at a rate of approximately 95 percent.
SNORING-REDUCING PILLOW AND SMART BED
The smart pillow developed by the Chinese sleep health company DeRUCCI and introduced at CES 2024 is stated to reduce snoring by nearly 89 percent. The smart pillow detects the sleeper's snoring and combats it by adjusting the position of their head.
Furthermore, the bed developed by DeRUCCI, which received an Innovation Award, offers a smart sleep solution with the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT). The smart bed, which instantly adapts to the sleeper's health for optimal sleep, also warns users in advance about potential health issues.
Boston-based medical technology startup GyroGear introduced its glove designed to reduce hand tremors for Parkinson's patients at the fair. The product, which received an Innovation Award at CES 2024, is described as the "world's most advanced hand tremor stabilizer." The glove aims to improve the quality of life for Parkinson's patients by instantly stabilizing hand tremors.
AI-POWERED MEASURES AGAINST SCHOOL SHOOTINGS
Innovations in the field of security were also among the technologies that attracted attention at CES 2024.
German electronics company Bosch introduced a Gun Detection System that pairs video and audio AI to increase security against school shootings, a significant problem particularly in the US. The system, which was deemed worthy of an Innovation Award, verifies a weapon if an armed person approaches a school and alerts staff instantly.
In addition to artificial intelligence, other technology trends that stood out at CES 2024 include transparent screens, next-generation gaming technologies, and energy technologies.
Transparent screens, called "transparent OLEDs," which are indistinguishable from thin glass when not in use and blend in with their surroundings, make visitors feel as if they are in a science fiction movie. South Korean electronics brands LG and Samsung showcased their OLED screens at CES 2024.
While gaming technologies continued to attract interest at CES this year, green technologies aimed at energy savings, especially in household appliances, came to the fore.
