Many alternatives are being provided for people who have lost limbs through technological developments. An international research group has developed a bionic hand for a woman who experienced limb loss using a different method. In this case, the titanium material of the prosthesis was integrated into the woman's bone tissue. 

By establishing a much stronger bond in this way, the researchers also succeeded in suturing the woman's nerve cells to the robotic arm. Thus, the mechanical connection established was supported by a neural connection.

SHE CAN BOTH USE HER HAND AGAIN AND HAS BEEN RELIEVED OF HER PAIN

It was reported that the Swedish woman, who had lost her limb in a farming accident, began to perform 80 percent of her daily needs thanks to this invention. The woman has also been relieved of the intense pain she experienced before the operation.

Christian Cipriani, director of the BioRobotics Institute and coordinator of the European DeTOP project where the study published in Science Robotics was conducted, says, "This prosthesis and robotic technology can have an extraordinary impact on people's lives."
