On December 19, Apple released iOS 17.2.1, a minor update for iOS 17, alongside the iOS 16.7.4 update, which resolves an issue with built-in applications.
According to details reported by Donanımhaber, the iOS 17.2.1 update includes important bug fixes and is recommended for all users. Interestingly, it is noted that for some iPhones, the update also resolves a battery issue (where the battery drains rapidly under certain conditions). The iOS 16.7.4 update, meanwhile, fixes an issue where deleted built-in Apple apps could not be reinstalled.
WHICH MODELS RECEIVED THE UPDATE?
iOS 16.7.4 was released as an update for older models such as the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. On the iPad side, iPadOS 16.7.4 arrived for the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models. iOS 17.2.1 can be installed on all models from the iPhone XS and later.
