Ingenuity, one of NASA's eyes on Mars, has had its 62nd flight planned. One of the tasks for this flight is to 'break a new speed record.'

The helicopter was initially planned to take off a total of 5 times, but it has been on duty for two and a half years. The flight taking place today is also expected to be the scene of a record attempt.

Ingenuity's record attempt involves reaching 18 meters at 10 m/s within 119.3 seconds and traveling 268 meters.

The vehicle broke a new altitude record of 24 meters during its 61st flight on October 5.

Perseverance, meanwhile, recently managed to travel 347.7 meters without human intervention and broke its own speed record.
