Former Galatasaray executive Ateş Ünal Erzen has passed away
Hilmi Ateş Ünal Erzen, a former member of the Galatasaray Club board of directors, has passed away.

In a statement released by the yellow-red club, a message of condolence was published for Ateş Ünal Erzen, who was also a member of the Galatasaray Council of Trustees.
Erzen, who served as an executive at Galatasaray Club between 1994 and 2000, also held positions as a board member at Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş., general manager at Galatasaray Pazarlama A.Ş., and vice president at the Galatasaray Education Foundation.

His daughter, Meltem Ünal Erzen, stated in a post on her social media account, “I have lost my mentor, my light. He was a wise and gentlemanly person who spent his life in service to his state and nation, and a magnificent father.
His funeral will be held on Friday at Teşvikiye Mosque following the noon prayer, and he will be laid to rest at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.”
