Accident on the Northern Marmara Motorway: 9 people injured

Nine people were injured after a shuttle minibus rolled into a ditch on the Northern Marmara Motorway. Following the accident, numerous teams were dispatched to the scene, traffic was halted for a time, and the injured were taken to hospitals.

The Northern Marmara Motorway, near the Yassıören toll booths, was the site of an accident where a shuttle minibus belonging to the Altur company, which was transporting workers to Istanbul Airport, lost control and rolled into a ditch. Nine people inside the minibus were injured in the accident.

The accident occurred around 16:15. The shuttle minibus, driven by Murtaza Yıldırım and belonging to Altur Turizm, lost control while traveling on the motorway and fell into the ditch. There were 9 workers employed at Istanbul Airport inside the minibus.

Upon notification, numerous gendarmerie, ambulance, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene. While fire crews began rescue operations for those inside and around the vehicle, gendarmerie teams took security measures. One lane of the Northern Marmara Motorway in the Ankara direction at the Yassıören location was closed to traffic. The injured workers were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance.

Traffic returned to normal after the vehicles were removed, and an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
