In a statement made by the Institute of Earth Sciences and the National Seismic Monitoring Center of Georgia, it was stated that a 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in the country's Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region at 13:44 local time.
The statement indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake was the village of Psor, located 6 kilometers from the city of Oni.
No information has been provided so far regarding any damage caused by the earthquake.
