Green light from the EU to Georgia
The EU Council has decided to open accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova. Georgia, meanwhile, has been granted candidate country status.
In a statement made via the X social media platform, EU Council President Charles Michel announced that the EU has decided to grant Georgia candidate status and that there are plans to begin accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova.
Michel also stated that negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina will begin once the necessary membership criteria are met.
