Biden's Gaza demand to Netanyahu

US President Joe Biden spoke by phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. During the call, Joe Biden demanded an increase in the flow of aid to protect civilians in Gaza.

In a statement from the White House, it was stated that Biden held a phone call with Netanyahu.

"MUST BE DONE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF LAW"

The statement reported that during the call, Biden "underscored that Israel has every right and responsibility to protect its citizens from terrorism and that it must do so within the framework of international humanitarian law."

The statement further noted that Biden "emphasized the need for an immediate and significant increase in the flow of humanitarian aid to meet the needs of civilians in Gaza," and that the two leaders agreed to continue regular consultations.

LATEST SITUATION IN ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON GAZA

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7.

The Israeli army subsequently began intense airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.

Israeli officials announced that 1,400 Israelis, including 311 soldiers, were killed and 5,132 people were injured in the attacks from Gaza.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, the number of those killed in Israeli attacks has risen to 8,005, including 3,342 children and 2,262 women, while 20,242 people have been injured.

In the occupied West Bank, 116 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,900 injured in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers.

34 journalists in Gaza and 1 in Lebanon have lost their lives in Israeli bombardment.

Due to Israel's intense attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip, landline, mobile phone, and internet communication services in the region have come to a standstill.

The Israeli army began expanding limited ground operations on October 26 and further increased the intensity of its airstrikes.

Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical facility in Gaza housing thousands of wounded and civilians, has also been targeted by the Israeli army.
