Blinken speaks on Sweden's NATO membership and meeting with Fidan
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a statement on his social media account regarding his meeting with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

In a post on the social media platform X, Blinken recalled that he met with Fidan in Washington.
Regarding the meeting, Blinken stated, "I discussed with Fidan the Israel-Hamas conflict, efforts to ensure the conflict does not spread to other parts of the region, the necessity of releasing the remaining hostages, and the provision of humanitarian aid."
In his post, Blinken also emphasized the importance of approving Sweden's NATO membership without delay.
"THERE IS NO MORE TOLERANCE LEFT"
Foreign Minister Fidan, in his statement following the meeting, said, "We are bringing our position regarding the situation in Gaza to our American counterparts very clearly.
We have expressed to them (the US) in an extremely clear manner the seriousness of the situation here, that there is no more tolerance left, and what steps need to be taken in this regard."
Stating that they also discussed Sweden's NATO membership during his meeting with Blinken, Fidan said, "Our position here is clear, meaning that as a result of the negotiations held within NATO, our President and the Swedish Prime Minister were at the trilateral summit, and there are issues we have been working on following that," and emphasized that the final decision rests with the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).
