Humanitarian pause extended: US President Biden announces 'intense efforts'
US President Joe Biden stated that he has been making intense efforts to extend the "humanitarian pause" previously agreed upon between Hamas and Israel in Gaza for another 2 days.

Biden issued a written statement regarding the extension of the "humanitarian pause" in Gaza.
Noting that he is making intense efforts to ensure that the agreement continues to yield results, Biden emphasized that the "humanitarian pause" has enabled a significant increase in additional humanitarian aid for innocent civilians suffering in the Gaza Strip.
Pointing out that they have taken full advantage of the "humanitarian pause" to increase the amount of humanitarian aid going to Gaza, Biden stated, "We will continue our efforts to build a future of peace and dignity for the Palestinian people."
THE LATEST SITUATION IN ISRAEL'S OCCUPATION OF GAZA
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on the morning of October 7, citing the need to "respond to Israel's continuous violations against Palestinians and their sacred values, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque," while the Israeli army began intense aerial bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
It was announced that 1,200 Israelis, more than 310 of whom were soldiers, were killed and 5,132 people were injured in the attacks on October 7 in Israel. According to the Israeli army, 70 Israeli soldiers have been killed in clashes in Gaza and 6 on the Lebanon border since October 7.

ON THE PRISONER EXCHANGE AGREEMENT
The agreement for a 4-day humanitarian pause in the clashes between Israel and Hamas went into effect on Friday, November 24, at 07:00 (08:00 Turkish time).
According to the agreement, a consensus was reached on the release of 150 Palestinians in Israeli prisons in exchange for 50 Israeli hostages held by Hamas.
Qatar announced that the "humanitarian pause" has been extended for another 2 days as a result of the mediation efforts carried out between Hamas and Israel.
