Israel: We remain committed to the hostage exchange agreement reached with Hamas

Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari, in a press conference he held, made an assessment regarding the delay in the hostage exchange.

"WE WILL USE EVERY MEANS TO BRING THE HOSTAGES BACK"

Stating that the Israeli military is committed to the hostage exchange agreement and is determined to implement this agreement in coordination with Qatar and Egypt, Hagari said, "There is a long road ahead to conclude the efforts to bring back the abducted (hostages), and we will use every means to bring them back."

Hagari noted that the Israeli military is conducting an investigation regarding the hostages released on Friday, but noted that they would not disclose the findings. Hagari added that they have allowed aid trucks to enter the south and north of Gaza in accordance with the reached agreement.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, had announced that they were postponing the release of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip due to Israel's failure to comply with the terms of the agreement regarding the release of prisoners and the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into northern Gaza.

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari also stated in a post on his X social media account that the obstacles to the implementation of the hostage exchange between Israel and Hamas had been resolved and that the second group would be released tonight.
