According to Iranian state television, Abdollahian met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad in Damascus, which he visited as part of a regional tour covering Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria. ''THEY ARE PREPARED AND THEIR MORALE IS HIGH''

Foreign Minister Abdollahian said, "From here, I want to convey the message to Islamic countries and international institutions that the oppressed and civilian people of Gaza are in need of urgent international support for the lifting of the siege and the cessation of the Zionists' war crimes."

Stating that he met with the Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, as well as senior officials from Palestinian resistance groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad during his contacts in Lebanon, Abdollahian said, "I received information that the resistance front is ready for all possible scenarios and their morale is high."

'ARAB LEAGUE STATEMENT CAUSED DISAPPOINTMENT'

When asked about the statement issued by the Arab League regarding Israel's attacks and the situation in Gaza, Abdollahian said, "The Arab League's statement caused disappointment. What is expressed in this statement is not the definitive view of the foreign ministers of Islamic and Arab countries."
