Israeli army rescues soldier held captive by Hamas
The Israeli army announced that it rescued a female soldier held captive by Hamas in the blockaded Gaza Strip through a "ground operation."

In a statement issued by the Israeli army and the internal security agency Shin Bet (Shabak), it was stated that Private Ori Megidish, who was taken captive by Hamas on October 7, has been rescued.
CAPTIVE SOLDIER REUNITES WITH FAMILY
It was noted that the soldier has undergone medical examinations and is in good condition; a photo of her reuniting with her family was released. No statement has yet been made by Hamas or the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades regarding the matter.
The Israeli army had previously announced that it had informed the families of 239 people identified as being held captive in Gaza.
