Jordan, Oman, and UAE issue 'Gaza' statement: Call for ceasefire and restraint

Due to the tension in the Gaza Strip, statements calling for an 'end to the violence' have come from the Foreign Ministries of many countries.

The statement made by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs included the following:

"It warns against these dangerous repercussions that carry the potential for further escalation, especially given that the Palestinian people in the West Bank are witnessing attacks and violations against their rights and against Islamic and Christian holy sites."

In a statement regarding the issue, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it is 'watching with concern and attention the escalating violence between Israel and Palestine as a result of the continued illegitimate Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.'

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed its concern over the violence between Israel and the Palestinians in a written statement.

The statement emphasized that the UAE calls for extreme restraint and an immediate ceasefire to avoid dangerous repercussions.

Furthermore, it was noted that the UAE, in its capacity as a "non-permanent member" of the United Nations Security Council, "called for the immediate reactivation of the international quartet to revive the Arab-Israeli peace process."
