Kosovo Assembly ratifies 'Military Framework Agreement' signed with Turkey
The Kosovo Assembly has ratified the "Military Framework Agreement" signed between Turkey and Kosovo on January 29, with the consensus of both ruling and opposition lawmakers.

Presenting the agreement from the parliamentary podium in the absence of Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Faton Peci stated that the agreement envisions cooperation in peacekeeping, humanitarian, and counter-terrorism operations, among other matters.
While requesting support for the agreement to pass in the Assembly, Peci used the following expressions:
"This agreement envisions cooperation in the following areas: Military training, industry and defense, military intelligence sharing, military medicine, peacekeeping against terrorism, and humanitarian operations, etc. I request the voting of this bill so that this agreement can enter into force in accordance with the provisions of the law on international agreements."
The agreement was ratified in the 120-seat Assembly with the votes of 85 lawmakers from both ruling and opposition parties who participated in the vote.
The "Military Framework Agreement" between Turkey and Kosovo was signed in Ankara on January 29 by Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and Kosovo Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci.
