FIRST TABRIZ, NOW SHIRAZ
Following the news of the attack on Tehran, footage of an attack on the city of Shiraz has also emerged.
'FLAG OF REVENGE' HOISTED
Meanwhile, Iran has also taken action to respond to Israel's attacks. The Revolutionary Guards launched more than 100 kamikaze drones in succession. Additionally, a red flag was hoisted at the Jamkaran Mosque in the city of Qom, which holds great significance for the Shia faith. In Shia tradition, this flag is used only during periods of mourning, revenge, and calls for justice.
The red flag had previously been hoisted at the mosque following the killing of former Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in an Israeli attack in the Iranian capital, Tehran, along with his personal bodyguard. The flag was also hoisted at the mosque after Qasem Soleimani was killed by the US and following the bombing in Kerman.
