Putin receives presidential mandate after election victory

According to a statement from the Kremlin Palace, Putin met with Pamfilova in his office. Pamfilova presented the mandate to Putin, who won the Russian Federation presidential election.
In his speech, Putin thanked all employees both at the Central Election Commission and at the local level, stating, "This work was very difficult, I understand. But for the country, for the internal stability of the state, especially today, this is very important."
'UNPRECEDENTED INTEGRATION'
Pamfilova also emphasized that the election results were very surprising and unprecedented, saying, "It is very important that there is an unprecedented integration of society and that it is understood that this was not just a presidential election, but actually an important stage in the struggle for Russia."
TO REMAIN IN OFFICE FOR ANOTHER 6 YEARS
The presidential election in the Russian Federation was held on March 15-17, with a turnout of 77.49 percent. The incumbent President Putin, who was a candidate, won with 87.28 percent of the vote.
Re-elected Putin will remain in office for another 6 years. Putin, who will take the oath of office in May when his current term expires, will assume the presidency of Russia for the 5th time.
