Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree calling up 150,000 Russian citizens between the ages of 18 and 30 for mandatory military service for the spring term.

As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, Moscow is continuing its military efforts.

In a statement made by the Kremlin, it was stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree calling up 150,000 Russian citizens between the ages of 18 and 30 for mandatory military service for the spring term.

The Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian Parliament, had approved the bill increasing the upper age limit for mandatory military service from 27 to 30 in July of last year. The bill went into effect on January 1.
