US urges citizens: 'Do not travel to Lebanon'

The statement from the US Department of State was shared on the X social media platform by the US Embassy in Beirut.
In the statement, while a call was made not to travel to Lebanon, US citizens in Lebanon were also advised to make appropriate arrangements to leave the country.
The statement further requested that US citizens who choose not to leave Lebanon keep their emergency plans ready.
