An armed attack occurred during the election campaign of AKP Küçükçekmece Mayoral candidate Aziz Yeniay.

While statements condemning the incident have come one after another from both the ruling and opposition fronts following the attack in which one person was injured, the latest statement from IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu drew attention.

'NO CONNECTION TO AKP'

In his post, İmamoğlu said, "Learning that the incident that took place today in Küçükçekmece had no connection to the AK Party candidate and that no one lost their life brought us relief."

İmamoğlu's statement is as follows;

"Learning that the incident that took place today in Küçükçekmece had no connection to the AK Party candidate and that no one lost their life brought us relief.

I convey my wishes for a speedy recovery and get well soon to our citizen who was injured due to a separate public order incident."
