Mansur Yavaş reacts to the detention of Alaattin Köseler

CHP's Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler was detained in a dawn raid as part of an investigation into "rigging a tender."

Köseler, who was taken from his home at 4:00 AM, was brought to the police station.

Reactions from the CHP continue to pour in regarding Köseler's detention in a dawn raid.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaşstated the following in a post on his X account:

"The rule of law is the foundation of justice. However, unfortunately, we woke up to another injustice this morning. İstanbul Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler was detained at his home at 4:00 AM, even though he would have gone if he had been summoned to give a statement.

The right to a fair and transparent trial is an indispensable principle of the rule of law and must be applied equally to everyone.

We will never give up our belief in democracy and the law, and we will not take a single step back from our struggle."
