Özgür Özel takes aim at Kılıçdaroğlu without naming him: 'Right-wing advisors brought in from above'

Addressing party members gathered in front of the CHP Kütahya Provincial Headquarters, Özgür Özel stated that they could not accept losing the election.

''THEY SOAKED HEADSCARVES IN VINEGAR WATER''

Özel expressed the sadness they experienced as the CHP as follows:

"Our valued party members, of course, after the elections we went through on May 14 and 28, our shoulders slumped, our morale was broken, we were saddened. Because we knew that it was one of the most critical elections in the history of the Republic. We wanted the power to be held not by those who harbor hostility toward the Republic, its founding cadres, its founding fathers, and its founding values, but by those who feel gratitude toward them. We believed in this on the 100th anniversary of the Republic, and we worked together for it. We worked with all our might. However, with this election, we were shaken, saddened, and devastated. Our Women's Branches could not recover for weeks; they could not sleep. Out of sadness and headaches, they soaked their headscarves in vinegar water and wrapped them around their heads."

THE RIGHT-WING ADVISOR CRISIS CONTINUES

Özel emphasized that the CHP must discuss and debate its entire management approach from top to bottom, start with a new policy, and make a leap forward.

Expressing that he rejects the politics imposed by others, Özel stated: "We have an organization that is the most well-read, the most attentive, the most argumentative, and capable of persuading others if it is persuaded itself; a very strong and highly qualified organization. But instead of an organization where decisions made by right-wing advisors brought in from above—decisions made not with its own identity but to show itself to others—are implemented without debate, we need to transition to an approach where debate begins in the district, is carried out in the neighborhood, moves to the district, matures in the province, and is carried to the Party Assembly, where real politics is conducted based on demands coming from the true grassroots, where the politics proposed by the organization is adopted, and where we reject the politics that Tayyip Erdoğan imposes on us."
