The question 'When will CHP's Istanbul candidates be announced?' has been answered

While there has been curiosity regarding when candidates for other Istanbul districts will be announced, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu responded to the question about when the CHP's Istanbul candidates would be revealed.

Imamoglu stated the following:

"Both at our headquarters and our Istanbul Provincial Presidency, we have working groups where we share the experiences we have gained as the Metropolitan Municipality over the past 4.5 to 5 years.

I know that the process is being handled very sensitively in this regard. There are committees working everywhere to ensure the formation of strong candidates who we believe can establish good dialogues with our citizens. At the same time, I know that our party's institutions and bodies are working within a design that will spread strong management capability across all of Istanbul.

As of yesterday, with the approval of our Party Assembly, our colleague Mahir Polat was deemed worthy of candidacy in Fatih, and our colleague Tarik Balyali in Pendik. I wish them success. I hope that very soon, before the year ends—meaning that these 3 months are utilized in the most powerful way for the campaign—candidates will be determined quickly, especially for the districts that the CHP does not currently govern but which have very large populations, which I care about deeply.

I know that work in this direction is ongoing. On behalf of Istanbul, I would like to thank all our institutions, our Provincial Presidency, our Party Assembly, and of course our esteemed Chairman Mr. Ozgur Ozel, who are managing this process with such sensitivity."
