World Bank provides 20 million dollars to Gaza

The World Bank has announced that 20 million dollars in new funding will be provided for emergency aid to the people of Gaza. In a statement from the bank, it was reported that support would be provided for emergency relief in Gaza.

World Bank provides 20 million dollars to Gaza

The statement noted that the World Bank will provide 20 million dollars in new funding for emergency aid to the people of Gaza as part of a total 35 million dollar support package.

The statement, which indicated that the funding approved by the Bank's Board of Executive Directors includes 10 million dollars for food vouchers and parcels, reported that the aid in question is expected to reach 377 thousand people.

15 MILLION DOLLARS DELIVERED

The statement conveyed that 15 million dollars of the 35 million dollar support package, which was allocated as a grant to provide aid to people in Gaza, has already been delivered.

In the World Bank's statement, it was noted that aid activities are being carried out through United Nations agencies already operating in Gaza, such as the World Health Organization, the World Food Programme, and UNICEF.
