The 4-part series, which premiered on October 4, provides intimate details about the Beckhams' marriage, family life, and David Beckham's football career. 

According to the Broadcasters' Audience Research Board (BARB), the first episode of the documentary titled "Beckham" was watched by 3 million 813 thousand 100 people. The second episode also proved successful, reaching 2 million 868 thousand 800 viewers in the week ending October 8.

Independent Türkçe reports that according to Netflix's own data, "Beckham" has been the streaming platform's most-watched program for two weeks, with 11 million 600 thousand views worldwide. The documentary follows the personal and professional lives of Victoria, a member of the Spice Girls, and David Beckham, examining their pasts through interviews with the couple.

Netflix summarizes the subject of the documentary as follows: Featuring previously unreleased footage, this docuseries follows the rise of David Beckham, who went from a working-class family to a world-famous football star.

The former footballer speaks about the mental health struggles he faced after becoming public enemy number one following the infamous red card he received at the 1998 World Cup, and also recounts the harassment directed at him and his family, including angry fans throwing their televisions out of windows and his effigy being hung outside a bar.

SPOKE ABOUT THE AFFAIR ALLEGATIONS

David Beckham's wife, Victoria, also spoke for the first time about the pain she experienced following allegations that he had an affair with his assistant, Rebecca Loos, stating that she went through the most difficult moments of her life during that period.

Directed by 59-year-old Fisher Stevens, star of the acclaimed HBO series Succession, the documentary appeals to football fans as well as Spice Girls fans and those who grew up in the 1990s.

The audience score for the series is even more impressive. Those who watched the Netflix documentary, which the former footballer also executive produced, gave the series a score of 97.
