Anahtar Party leader Ağıralioğlu: 'Öcalan is not the representative of the Kurds'

Anahtar Party Chairman Yavuz Ağıralioğlu made evaluations regarding the agenda at a press conference held at his party's headquarters. Speaking about the process that has restarted with İmralı, Ağıralioğlu used the following expressions: "Öcalan is not the representative of the Kurds. Any move that could make Öcalan perceived as the representative of the Kurds harms our country and national integrity." 

Stating that there is a wrong interlocutor and that they have concerns regarding this, Ağıralioğlu noted the following:

"We are tired of saying that this wrong strategy, which could result in making Öcalan the legitimate representative of the Kurds, will harm the region, the credibility of the state, politics, trust in politics, both the Parliament, and the national integrity represented by our presence in the Parliament; they have not tired of making mistakes. Öcalan is not the representative of the Kurds. Any move that could make Öcalan perceived as the representative of the Kurds harms our country and national integrity. We have no designs on anyone's territory. Our presence at the table is not related to an interest in Syrian territory, but to our conviction that stability in Syria is a necessity for our own region."
