Canada: We are not ready to name the perpetrator of the hospital attack in Gaza

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke to members of the press in the capital, Ottawa, regarding the attack on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, where approximately 500 people were killed.

While US President Joe Biden pointed to Palestinian groups regarding the attack, using the phrase "the other team," Trudeau said that not all evidence has emerged yet.

Trudeau said, "We are working carefully with our allies to determine exactly what happened. We have seen some evidence, but we will continue our work until we reach a definitive conclusion as soon as possible."

Noting that many people in Canada are directly affected by Israel's attacks on Palestine and that they want to be certain before naming the perpetrator of the attack, Trudeau stated that for this reason, some time is needed to address the issue carefully.

ISRAEL-PALESTINE CONFLICT

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7, dubbed "Al-Aqsa Flood."

While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided and seized the Beit Hanoun-Erez Border Crossing on the Gaza-Israel border.

The armed groups then entered settlements inside Israel from there, and the Israeli army launched attacks on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.

It was reported that 1,400 Israelis, 306 of whom were soldiers, were killed and 3,968 Israelis were injured in the attacks launched from Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 3,785 people, including 1,524 children, had been killed and more than 12,000 people had been injured in Israel's attacks on Gaza.

It was also stated that 81 Palestinians had been killed in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank.

13 journalists lost their lives in Israel's attacks.

In the clashes that began on the Lebanon border on October 8 between the Israeli army and Hezbollah, 12 Hezbollah members, 2 Islamic Jihad members, and 3 civilians, one of whom was a journalist, lost their lives.

In the attacks carried out from the Lebanese side, 2 Israeli soldiers and one Israeli civilian also lost their lives.

In the attack carried out by Israel on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza on October 17, 471 people lost their lives and 342 people, 28 of whom were in critical condition, were injured.
