Journalist Fulya Öztürk announces she received 'threat' calls in Israel: They are sharing my photos on Telegram

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7, dubbed "Al-Aqsa Flood." Armed groups subsequently entered settlements within Israel, and the Israeli army launched an offensive on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.

Numerous members of the press continue to report on the events from the scene. Most recently, CNN Türk Special News Chief Fulya Öztürk announced that she was threatened in Israel after receiving a call from the number 02-21.

Sharing the incident on her X account, Öztürk announced the threat she received with the following words:

"Friends, there is an important issue.

I am using an Israeli line in Israel.

I was just called by this 4-digit number '02-21'.

A man with a low voice asked if I was in Israel.

He said, 'Take care of yourself, I will call again.'

They are also sharing my photos on Telegram pages.

What does this mean?"
