CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik’s message on the 6th anniversary of the Çorlu Train Massacre: 'We will follow this case'

Republican People's Party (CHP) Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik commemorated the Çorlu Train Massacre, which occurred 6 years ago, via his social media account.

The post shared by Çelik on social media is as follows:

“6 years have passed since the Çorlu Train Massacre. The sentences handed down in the case did not reflect the responsibility of high-level officials, and justice has still not been served. We will not let this case be forgotten and we will continue to follow it until justice is served.

I remember our 25 citizens who lost their lives in this massacre, which was caused by a chain of negligence and was clearly foreseeable, with mercy and longing, and I once again wish patience to their grieving families. We are always with you.”

Çorlu Tren Katliamının üzerinden 6 yıl geçti. Davada verilen cezalar üst düzey sorumlulara yansımadı, hala adalet sağlanmadı. Biz adalet yerini bulana dek bu davayı unutturmayacak, takipçisi olacağız.
