Dutch official: 'Israel is committing war crimes, the Western world is doing nothing'
Dutch Member of Parliament van Baarle harshly criticized the Israel-Palestine conflict and the stance of the West.

In the Netherlands, Denk Party Parliamentary Group Leader and Member of Parliament Stephan van Baarle stated that Israel is committing war crimes and that the Netherlands and Western countries are remaining silent on the matter.
Van Baarle noted that Israel is implementing an apartheid regime (systemic discrimination) and that, due to the silence of Western countries, it has been getting away with everything it has done for 75 years.
Drawing attention to the fact that the electricity, water, and food of two million Palestinians have been cut off, van Baarle said, "The situation in Gaza is horrific. Bombs are currently raining down on hospitals there. Israel is truly committing war crimes right now. The Western world and the international community are doing nothing about this. This must end, and the Netherlands needs to condemn this situation."
"EUROPE IS CLOSING ITS EYES"
Van Baarle stated, "Just as the Netherlands and European countries have ignored how Palestinians have been left to their own fate for 75 years, they are once again closing their eyes to Palestinian children being killed by Israeli bombs. Instead of remaining a spectator while war crimes are committed against defenseless Palestinians, the Netherlands must use strong language."
Calling for the defense of Palestinian rights, which he said is more important than ever, van Baarle added, "When people want to defend the rights of Palestinians, right-wing political parties try to silence them. This is a policy that is always applied in the Western world."
"PALESTINIANS MUST RECEIVE THE COUNTRY THAT IS THEIR RIGHT"
Van Baarle said, "We see that the Israeli government is acting brutally toward Palestinians. Therefore, we must show that the only way to get out of this conflict is for Palestinians to finally have equal rights. The oppression that has lasted for 75 years must end, the Palestinian state must be recognized, and the policy of annexation must be stopped, because that is the only way to ensure peace in that region. Palestinians must receive the country that is their right, their own state, and their freedom."
