Election poll for Istanbul: What is İmamoğlu's vote share, what do voters think about the AKP
As parties accelerate their work for the local elections, candidates for the metropolitan cities, where the race is expected to be competitive, have also begun to be discussed. Although some parties have already announced their candidates, the election poll conducted for Istanbul contains noteworthy information.

Milliyet columnist Zafer Şahin shared the results of a poll in his column today, which was conducted by the Reaksiyon Research Company through face-to-face interviews with 1,105 people over the age of 18 living in Istanbul's 39 districts.
According to the poll, 58 percent of Istanbul residents say they could vote for İmamoğlu if he runs again. Fifty percent of those who say they will not vote for İmamoğlu cite his being a CHP candidate as the reason.

Twenty-nine percent of those living in Istanbul find İmamoğlu successful. A 22 percent segment says "Unsuccessful." According to 25 percent, "İmamoğlu is neither successful nor unsuccessful!" Thirteen percent of Istanbul residents think "İmamoğlu is very successful." An 11 percent segment finds İmamoğlu very unsuccessful.
Fifty-eight percent of Istanbul residents say they could vote for İmamoğlu if he runs again. A 42 percent segment says, "I would never vote for him."
Fifty percent of those who say they will not vote for İmamoğlu cite his being a CHP candidate as the reason. Twenty-nine percent state they will not vote for him because they do not like the municipal services, and 21 percent because they do not like him personally.
"I WILL CAST MY VOTE BASED ON THE CANDIDATE"
Sixty-six percent of voters living in Istanbul say they will cast their vote based on the party. Thirty-four percent say, "I will cast my vote based on the candidate."
Forty-nine point four percent of the poll participants stated that they would vote for the AKP in the 2024 local elections. The rate of those saying they would vote for the CHP is 40.1 percent.
According to the poll, 91 percent of Istanbul residents recognize Murat Kurum, whose name is mentioned among the AKP's metropolitan mayoral candidates. This rate is reflected in the poll as 96 percent for Fahrettin Koca. The recognition rate for Tevfik Göksu is 87 percent. It is 83 percent for Şadi Yazıcı, and 81 percent for Hilmi Türkmen and Ergun Turan.
