Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has begun his Friday sermon.

Iranian television reported that a large crowd had gathered outside the mosque where Khamenei is leading prayers and delivering a sermon for the first time in four years.

Khamenei's Friday sermon comes three days before the first anniversary of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

Khamenei stated that a large part of his speech would be about Palestine and Lebanon.

"MY SPEECH WILL BE ABOUT PALESTINE AND LEBANON"

Stating that the first topic he wanted to address was defense, Khamenei noted that all countries have the right to protect their interests, saying, "The Palestinian people have the right to rise up against the enemy. International law also supports and approves this today. Palestine belongs to the Palestinians. No court, center, or international institution has the right to object to the Palestinian people. They are defending their own land."

"OUR RESPONSE IS LEGITIMATE AND LAWFUL"

Emphasizing that the Lebanese people's support for Palestine will continue, Khamenei said, "No one has the right to criticize this legitimate support or ask why you are entering the field. The response carried out by our Armed Forces is also completely legitimate and lawful."

In his speech, Khamenei stated, "The action of our armed forces was the lightest punishment we could give to the occupying Zionist regime. It was the lightest response we could give to this bloodthirsty mad dog in the face of the unimaginable crimes they have committed. We will continue to fulfill all our duties. We will continue to fulfill all our responsibilities with seriousness."

Khamenei also noted, “Iran's enemy is also the enemy of Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Iraq. Today, the peoples have awakened.” Expressing that the Islamic Ummah can defeat the conspiracies, Khamenei said, “The Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves against these enemies who occupy their land and homes. It is their right. The Palestinian people have the right to stand against them. No court, center, or international institution has the right to object to the Palestinian people.”

COMMEMORATED HASSAN NASRALLAH

Stating that the Palestinians are defending their own land, Khamenei said, “Therefore, the Al-Aqsa Flood movement was a correct movement; it was the right of the Palestinians. -(The missile attack on Israel) The operation carried out by the Iranian Armed Forces was the lightest punishment to be given to the Zionist regime.”

In his sermon, Khamenei also spoke about Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an attack carried out by Israel, saying, “Hassan Nasrallah has left us in body, but his true personality, his voice, and his path will always live within us forever. He was a lofty banner of resistance. He stood tall against cruel enemies. He was the voice of the oppressed. He was a pillar for those fighting in the path of truth and possessed courage. His love transcended the borders of Lebanon and Iran. His martyrdom also showed us how influential he was.”
