In his social media post, Minister Cohen stated, 'The day after, there will be no Hamas-ISIS terrorist organization in Gaza. For the sake of Israel's security and to create a better future for the people of the region, we will rid Gaza of Hamas.'
Tagging the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Presidency, Cohen wrote, 'You @trpresidency can host the Hamas terrorists who cannot be destroyed and are fleeing from Gaza in your country.'
HARSH RESPONSE FROM ANKARA
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Öncü Keçeli provided a written response to Cohen's social media post.
Keçeli stated, 'As seen in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as long as Israel continues to exert pressure on Palestinians and destroy their fundamental freedoms, the number of Palestinians defending their collective and individual rights will increase further, and Israel will face more resistance.'
Stating that the root of the current problem lies in 'Israel's occupying stance, expansionist mentality, and oppressive actions that completely disregard law, human rights, and universal principles,' Keçeli used the expression, 'The heinous attacks of an occupying power against a civilian population can in no way be accepted as self-defense.'
