Kızılay, which sold tents during the earthquake, has purchased a turnip juice factory!

Kızılay, which was revealed to have sold tents during the February 7 earthquakes, is now on the agenda with another scandal. As a result of an agreement made on September 7, 2023, with Remzi and Rafet Doğan, the owners of Doğanay Şalgam, Kızılay purchased the non-operational factory in Adana and other assets belonging to the company. Within the scope of the agreement, 2 million Euros were paid in cash, and it was stated that the remaining 8 million Euros would be paid within two months.

CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSE SPARKS DEBATE

It was learned that the sales contract contained a confidentiality clause and that the factory had not been operating for a long time.

Remzi Doğan, one of the former owners, used contradictory statements in his remarks regarding the transfer of the factory. Doğan first denied the sale transaction, then drew attention by saying, “This was a confidential contract. Why is Kızılay interested in me? They should go and save the poor.”

According to a report by BirGün, it is alleged that Remzi Doğan, one of the former owners of the factory, has a close relationship with Kızılay Vice President Ramazan Saygılı. It was suggested that the Doğanay brothers were experiencing economic difficulties and that this sale was made to provide them with relief.

“We have brought a factory in Adana that had not been working for 7 years back into the economy by purchasing it. We will start production after the necessary maintenance and repairs. We aim to produce a wide range of products, from healthy beverages to sports products.”
