İYİ Party's Turhan Çömez reveals the number of refugees receiving monthly salaries from Kızılay!

TBMM (AA) - İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez announced that they possess striking documents regarding the "newborn gang" and that they will share these documents with the Research Commission established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez made statements regarding the agenda at a press conference held at the TBMM.

Çömez stated that miners who oppose the privatization of the Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant mining fields should not be victimized.

Stating that there is no condition in the tender specifications for "workers to continue their jobs," Çömez noted that İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu will meet with the workers today.

NEWBORN GANG: OUR INTERVENTION APPLICATION WAS REJECTED

"Newborn gang" Evaluating the case, Çömez said that their application to intervene was rejected by the court and that they will apply for a second time. Çömez said, "We have striking documents regarding the process. We will submit all the documents in our possession to the Research Commission in our Parliament. After it is concluded through the commission, we will both share it with the public and present it to the court."

Explaining that he gave a speech and submitted a parliamentary question in October regarding allegations of violence at the Niğde Children's Homes Site, Çömez stated that the Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, did not answer his parliamentary questions.

Çömez alleged that incidents of violence and abuse have occurred in some state-owned children's dormitories.

Demanding the resignation of Minister of Family and Social Services Göktaş, Çömez said that a 9-year-old child lost their life following the events in Niğde.

Criticizing the referral of the lieutenants who chanted the slogan "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" at the MSÜ Land Forces Academy Graduation and Flag Handover Ceremony to the High Disciplinary Board (YDK), Çömez reminded that the research motions they submitted on this issue were rejected in the TBMM General Assembly. Stating that the lieutenants took the legal oath, Çömez commented, "Those swords are not drawn against the nation, the government, or this country; they are drawn against traitors and enemies who covet this country."

"1 MILLION 800 THOUSAND REFUGEES RECEIVE MONTHLY SALARIES FROM KIZILAY"

Stating that many citizens cannot pay their General Health Insurance (GSS) due to unemployment, Çömez reacted to the Social Security Institution (SGK) sending enforcement notices to those with debts.

Revealing the number of refugees who receive a regular monthly salary from Kızılay, Çömez said, "Currently, 1 million 800 thousand refugees in Turkey receive a monthly salary from Kızılay."

Reminding of the statement by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, "I gave the instruction for the import of cattle," Çömez stated that meat imports have been continuing for 14 years. Turhan Çömez expressed that "there are also tragedies in agriculture, and farmers are in a debt trap."

"THOSE WHO WANT TO CARRY OUT A RECONCILIATION PROCESS MUST EXPLAIN WHAT THE CLOSURE PROCESS IS"

Upon a journalist asking about Erdoğan's words that "there is no disagreement with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli," Çömez used the following expressions:

"States and countries are not managed like this. If the general chairmen of two political parties that are partners and stakeholders of the government hold a meeting, they appear before the media and make their statements in return. 'Erdoğan said this', 'Bahçeli said that', 'one's hand was far away while shaking hands, one's hand was further back', 'one gave a musical message like this'; we cannot make political comments based on these. Those who want to carry out a reconciliation process must explain what the closure process is."

Upon being reminded of the meeting held by opposition parties and the AKP regarding the 'influence agent' regulation, Çömez stated that İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Buğra Kavuncu attended the meeting. Çömez said that they are against the regulation and that this regulation was removed from the draft law regarding the judiciary.

Pointing out that there are articles regarding espionage in the Turkish Penal Code, Çömez said, "We will support a rational, realistic, and genuine solution. We will evaluate these together with our party group and our Chairman. The first meeting was held, and long-term meetings will be held in the coming days."

RESIGNATIONS IN MHP

When asked about his views on the resignation of three deputies from the MHP, Çömez stated that he does not find it appropriate to comment on the internal affairs of a political party. Explaining that he does not know the reason for the resignations, Çömez added that the discretion on this matter lies with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.
