New development in the Narin murder investigation: Search conducted at the home of a key figure

A search was carried out at the home of Nevzat Bahtiyar (48), who was arrested as part of the investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır.

The investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the murder of Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the central Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream on September 8, is ongoing.

Teams from the Gendarmerie Criminal Investigation Department (JASAT) conducted a search at the home of Nevzat Bahtiyar, who was arrested on September 10 as part of the investigation, in the Tavşantepe neighborhood.

The teams left the house after completing the search operations.

In his statement to the gendarmerie, Nevzat Bahtiyar, who was detained as part of the investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, claimed that the uncle, Salim Güran, had asked him to dispose of the young child's body in the stream in exchange for 200 thousand liras, after which he was referred to the courthouse.

In his statement to the criminal judgeship of peace, Bahtiyar alleged that the uncle, Salim Güran, threatened him by saying, "I killed Arif's daughter, and you will take this body and dispose of it. Otherwise, I will kill you and your family," and he was arrested on charges of "complicity in intentional murder of a child."
