Narin Güran's name to be kept alive in a park in Sivas
The name of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found 19 days after she went missing in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, will be kept alive in a park in Sivas.
The opening of the park, which was completed in the Alibaba neighborhood and named after Narin, has been held.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Sivas Mayor Adem Uzun said they had come together to keep the memory and name of Narin, who was brutally murdered, alive.
Stating that Narin left deep marks and pain in everyone's hearts, Uzun said, "This painful event burned the hearts of our entire nation. She was a child who beautified this world with her smile and joy. Those who harmed our daughter Narin will pay the price for their brutality in the heaviest way possible."

Stating that keeping Narin's name and memory alive, and not forgetting her joy of life and innocence, is one of the most important duties, Uzun added, "We see keeping our daughter Narin's name alive in this park as a social responsibility at the same time. Let us remember our beautiful and joyful days, but let us not forget the painful events either."
Following the speech, Uzun, Sivas Deputy Governor İlhami Doğan, other guests, and children cut the opening ribbon of the "Narin Children's Park."
