Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel has supported the boycott call for April 2.
Following Özel's support for the boycott, a series of statements came from the ruling party front.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, meanwhile, has launched an investigation into the boycott calls.
