THY passenger numbers announced
The total number of passengers carried by Turkish Airlines (THY), which was 23.6 million in January-April 2023, increased by 8 percent to 25.5 million in the same period this year.

THY released its traffic results for April 2024 in a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform.
The company's total number of passengers, which was 6.5 million in April 2023, reached 7 million in the same period this year, an increase of 6.9 percent.
The number of international-to-international transfer passengers was 2.46 million in April 2023, and it rose by 0.5 percent to 2.47 million in the same month this year.
The passenger load factor in April increased by 0.8 points compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 80.7 percent. In the same period, the international load factor was 80 percent, and the domestic load factor was 86.5 percent.
Available Seat Kilometers (ASK), which was 18.7 billion in April last year, increased by 8.4 percent to 20.3 billion in the same period this year.
The volume of cargo and mail carried was 120.9 thousand tons in April 2023, and it was recorded as 162.5 thousand tons in the same period this year, an increase of 34.4 percent.
The total number of passengers carried by THY, which was 23.6 million in January-April 2023, increased by 8 percent to 25.5 million in the same period this year.
INTERNATIONAL-TO-INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER PASSENGER NUMBER IS OVER 10 MILLION
The company's number of international-to-international transfer passengers was 9.4 million in January-April 2023, and it reached 10.1 million in the same period this year, an increase of 7.7 percent.
In this period, the passenger load factor fell by 0.4 points to 80.5 percent. The international passenger load factor was 80.2 percent, and the domestic passenger load factor was 83.7 percent.
ASK was 70.4 billion in the January-April 2023 period, and it increased by 11.8 percent to 78.7 billion in the same period this year.
The volume of cargo and mail carried, which was 473.7 thousand tons in January-April 2023, reached 640 thousand tons in the same period this year, an increase of 35.1 percent.
The number of aircraft in THY's fleet was 455 at the end of April.
