While the comments of experts on the subject regarding the minimum wage amount were awaited with curiosity, a striking statement came from economist Özgür Demirtaş.
Making a reference to the hunger threshold and stating that the minimum wage will fall below the hunger threshold by April based on the course of the economy, Özgür Demirtaş wrote the following:
"The Minimum Wage has been announced.
According to my calculations, by April, the announced wage will fall below the Hunger Threshold (the kitchen expenses of a family of 4).
That is why the fight against inflation is so important"
