- 2 medium onions
- 4-5 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- Half a bunch of parsley
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt (adjust the amount according to your taste)
- 100-150 grams of kashar cheese (cut into cubes)
PREPARATION OF KASHAR CHEESE MEATBALLS
Place the ground meat into the bowl where you will knead the meatball mixture. Add the crumbled bread, eggs, finely chopped parsley, grated onion, garlic, spices, and salt, and knead. Let the mixture you have kneaded rest in the refrigerator for about two hours.
Take walnut-sized pieces from your mixture resting in the fridge and press them in your palm. After taking pieces from the mixture in this way and thinning them out by pressing with your hand, arrange them all on a baking tray.
Place a piece of the kashar cheese you cut onto each piece and cover it with another meatball. Gently squeeze the closed meatball in your hand to seal the edges and give it a slightly round shape. After making all the meatballs this way, let them rest in the refrigerator for a while longer.
Place the rested meatballs into a pan with very little oil once the oil has heated up. Place the lightly browned meatballs on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees until they are thoroughly browned inside and out.
You can serve your kashar cheese meatballs with garnish, rice, or mashed potatoes as you wish.
