Istanbul Bar Association President Filiz Saraç reacts to Can Atalay ruling
Istanbul Bar Association President Filiz Saraç expressed strong reaction to the decision to send the Can Atalay case file back to the Court of Cassation in a post on her social media account.

The release file for TİP MP Can Atalay, for whom the Constitutional Court (AYM) had issued two separate rulings of rights violations, had been forwarded to the clerk's office of the 13th High Criminal Court at the Istanbul Çağlayan Courthouse, and all eyes had turned to the acquittal decision expected from the court.
However, after hours of waiting in front of the court, no acquittal decision was issued for Can Atalay. Atalay's file was sent back to the Court of Cassation.
Following the failure to issue an acquittal decision for Can Atalay despite the publication of the Constitutional Court's ruling in the Official Gazette, a reaction-filled post came from Istanbul Bar Association President Filiz Saraç.
Saraç wrote the following on her social media account:
"Enough is enough!
The Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court is tasked with implementing the Constitutional Court's ruling, not the Court of Cassation.
Throughout this process, the rule of law has taken blow after blow.
By failing to comply with the second violation ruling, the crimes of deprivation of liberty and misconduct in office are being committed once again."
