Master artist Kadir İnanır was taken to the hospital after falling ill at his residence in Beykoz.
According to the information received, it was stated that İnanır, who suffered a stroke yesterday morning, was transferred to Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital in an unconscious state.
Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, in his statement regarding Kadir İnanır's health status, said: "Mr. Kadir İnanır, who was brought to the emergency department of Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital this morning in an unconscious state, has been taken to intensive care following the successful opening of his blocked cerebral artery; it has been decided to monitor him while intubated and sedated.
It is planned to wake him up after evaluating his clinical course and brain imaging. I extend my best wishes for a speedy recovery to our esteemed artist's family and all his loved ones due to this unfortunate event."
'I WILL PROVIDE UPDATES'
Kadir İnanır's life partner Jülide Kural stated regarding the artist, whose treatment continues in intensive care: "My request to all our people is that regarding Kadir İnanır's health status, only the statements made by his doctors and myself should be taken into account. I will provide regular updates regarding his health status."

Following all these developments, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül visited the artist, who is continuing his treatment at Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital.
Gül received information about Kadir İnanır's health status from the hospital's Chief Physician, Prof. Dr. Necdet Sağlam.
