Veteran actor Kadir İnanır hospitalized and moved to intensive care! Is his life in danger?

Artist Kadir İnanır was moved to intensive care following surgery at Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital, where he was taken after falling ill this morning.

Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Necdet Sağlam made a statement to the press in front of the hospital regarding the artist's condition, saying, "Our artist Kadir İnanır arrived at our hospital by ambulance this morning. From the moment he arrived, we assembled our emergency team. In the initial assessment, he had paralysis on his right side. His consciousness was impaired."

Stating that examinations were conducted as a result of the assessments, Sağlam provided the following information:

"When the brain tomography was taken, a blockage was detected in the main artery feeding the brain, and our emergency interventional radiology team, neurology team, and colleagues from neurosurgery, together with our anesthesia doctors, performed a very successful procedure within the first 2 hours after intubation. The clot in the main artery was removed. Blood flow to the brain was restored. The MRI scan taken after the procedure confirmed that the operation was successful, and blood flow to the brain is currently good. However, he has been moved to intensive care. He is being monitored in our intensive care unit while intubated. He will not be woken up within the first 24 to 48 hours. Provided there are no complications or new bleeding, which we hope will not happen because the procedure was successful."

One of İnanır's friends, Said Yavuz, stated that İnanır first suffered a blood clot in his brain and that his artery was opened with early intervention.

Stating that İnanır is currently being kept sedated in intensive care as a standard procedure, Yavuz said, "They will monitor whether anything new develops. His condition is good right now. We can give the good news to his fans; he is currently not in life-threatening danger."
