Statement from Jülide Kural on Kadir İnanır: 'I will provide regular updates'

Jülide Kural, the partner of veteran actor Kadir İnanır, has issued a statement regarding his health after he fell ill at his home in Beykoz and was rushed to the hospital.

Regarding the artist, whose treatment continues in intensive care, Kural said, "My request to all our people is that regarding Kadir İnanır's health status, only the statements made by his doctors and me should be taken into account. I will provide regular updates on his health status."

'HE HAD PARALYSIS ON HIS RIGHT SIDE'

Speaking about the condition of İnanır, who was taken to Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital, Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Necdet Sağlam stated, "Our dear artist Kadir İnanır arrived at our hospital by 112 ambulance. Upon initial assessment, he had paralysis on his right side. His consciousness was impaired. Following the assessments, tests were conducted. When a brain tomography was performed, a blockage was detected in the main artery feeding the brain."

Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Necdet Sağlam, in his statement to members of the press in front of the hospital regarding the artist's condition, said, "Our artist Kadir İnanır arrived at our hospital by ambulance in the morning hours. From the moment he first arrived, we gathered our emergency team. Upon initial assessment, he had paralysis on his right side. His consciousness was impaired."

Stating that tests were performed as a result of the assessments, Sağlam provided the following information:

"When a brain tomography was performed, a blockage was detected in the main artery feeding the brain, and our emergency interventional radiology team, neurology team, and colleagues from neurosurgery, together with our anesthesia doctors, performed a very successful procedure within the first 2 hours after intubation. The clot in the main artery was removed.

Blood flow to the brain was restored. In the MRI scan taken after the procedure, it was confirmed that the procedure was successful and brain perfusion is currently good. However, he has been taken to intensive care. He is being monitored in our intensive care unit while intubated.

He will not be woken up within the first 24 to 48 hours. Provided that no complications or new bleeding occur, hopefully there will be none, because the procedure was successful."
