İzmir MP Salih Uzun, who resigned from the Democrat Party following its latest congress, evaluated the remarks made by Cemal Enginyurt, who spoke on Sözcü TV the other day, stating, "If I am thinking about doing politics one day, I will do it in the Republican People's Party (CHP). That is the ethical thing to do."
HE ANNOUNCED THE PARTY HE WILL JOIN
Stating, "I resigned from the Democrat Party, but there is no new development in my position; I am still an Independent," Uzun said, "As Cemal Enginyurt also said, if we are going to join a party, that party will definitely be an opposition party, and the party we should go to would be the Republican People's Party, from whose lists we were elected. I am of the same opinion."
"MY PREFERENCE, MY PRIORITY IS THE CHP"
According to the report by Sözcü, Uzun said that he has received offers from many parties other than the ruling party, adding, "I had said before that when I make a choice, the most correct choice, my priority, would be the CHP. However, I want to say this once again; there is nothing new. As Salih Uzun, I sign my name under what Mr. Cemal said. When we left the Democrat Party with Mr. Cemal, I had said let us remain Independent for a while. If we need to make a choice after remaining independent for a while longer, we will make that choice. We do not know how long we will remain Independent either."
