Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu appeared on the program "Yeni Bir Sabah" (A New Morning) hosted by İsmail Küçükkaya on Halk TV, where he evaluated the discussions regarding a merger with the DEVA Party.

While expressing that they were ready for any kind of sacrifice, Davutoğlu emphasized DEVA's reluctance regarding a merger, stating, "We said, if it is to merge with DEVA, let's merge; if it is to form a group with Saadet, let's do that."

NAME CHANGE AND FORMING A GROUP

Davutoğlu stated that they showed flexibility regarding the name during the merger process, saying, "I said, if it remains as the Future Party, let Babacan be the chairman; if the name remains the DEVA Party, let Davutoğlu be the chairman." He also expressed that they were open to the option of forming a group with DEVA.

Ahmet Davutoğlu continued his words as follows:

"I told Mr. Babacan last night as well, the group issue is acceptable to us, but we currently have a group running with the Felicity Party (Saadet Party), and it is going quite well."

Davutoğlu also relayed his meeting with Felicity Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu. He stated that he told Karamollaoğlu their one-year commitment had expired and that while the group structure would continue, they requested that the name "Future Party" also be used.

WILL THERE BE A MERGER WITH THE DEVA PARTY?

Emphasizing that the Future Party is open to every option regarding a merger, Davutoğlu said, "As long as it meets the need for a center-right alternative against the AKP-CHP polarization in parliament." However, he noted that DEVA is not yet ready for a merger and that more consultations are needed on the matter.

In conclusion, Ahmet Davutoğlu stated that they are evaluating all options in the merger process, but that DEVA is not currently ready for it.
