During the extraordinary meeting held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) to discuss the Constitutional Court's ruling on Can Atalay, an attack was carried out against TİP Istanbul MP Ahmet Şık by AKP MPs.
Speaking to TELE1 about the incident, Ahmet Şık stated that the event was planned in advance and carried out in an organized manner.
Ahmet Şık said, "I have no doubt that it was a pre-planned and organized attack. When I think about the tense moments of the past period, I believe it was planned in advance who would carry out this attack and what kind of stance the AKP Deputy Speaker of the Parliament would take."
'THE EMBODIMENT OF A TROLL'
Suggesting that the attack was planned during the recess, Şık stated, "The person leading the AKP Group always stands up to respond to the opposition MP at the podium. Abdullah Güler is someone very suitable for this role. It would not be wrong to call him the embodiment of a troll. I think he received the instruction from there. It was planned who would attack after the break and what Deputy Speaker of Parliament Bekir Bozdağ would do," he said.
'ALPAY AND BOZDAĞ MADE EYE CONTACT'
Stating that he examined the photos after the incident, Şık continued his words as follows:
"If you notice, while I was at the podium, Alpay made eye contact with Bekir Bozdağ. The attack began the moment Bozdağ struck the gong to announce that the session was closed. Alpay's first move was aimed at knocking me down, and those who followed him continued the attack. Setting an ambush is what this government knows best," he said.
MY LANGUAGE IS NOT DIRTY
Responding to the words of CHP leader Özgür Özel, Ahmet Şık said, "My language is not dirty. If I had been able to speak, I would have been more understandable. The AKP media spread it on social media saying 'Ahmet Şık insulted'.
What is the insult? I say 'dishonorable'. The parliamentary oath ends with loyalty to the Constitution. I call those who are not loyal to the Constitution dishonorable," he said.
